Madam – About a week ago I went to the shops and O’ Crusty’s and got into a state, when at the till I could not find my debit card to pay for the groceries.

I was running back and forth to the car frantically searching for this card but sadly realised it was lost or misplaced. The teller waited patiently while I tried to find it.

Then a very kind lady leaned over and paid for the groceries and refused for me to take her details so when I found the card I could give her the money back. She told me it was “no problem” to bless someone or charity with the amount. I was speechless and then while still searching in the back of my car to see if it was there, one of the ladies from Heinies butchery called me and asked if I had lost a Capitec card.

I confirmed it but could not figure out how it got there as I had not gone into the butchery that morning. She told me another lady found the card behind her rear wheel in the car park! She handed it back to me!

I was so relieved that I burst into tears – but the other part of my tears is that I was so overwhelmed that the two people had helped me out – firstly the lady who paid for my groceries and secondly the lady who gave in my card – I would like to tell you that I am so touched and so appreciate your empathy – it is not often around.

Toy story was donated the money from that which the one lady had paid for my groceries. The other lady – thank you for handing my card in – I am truly grateful and so happy that there are some “angels” out there – thank you to Mildred and the ladies at the butcher for wiping away my tears and the hugs – eternally grateful.
