How dare the Mayor censor what is written?

Madam – How dare the mayor sensor what the municipal manager has to say? How dare the mayor dictate what must be written in the Advertiser?

What happened to transparency? I do not take kindly to matters that affect me being whitewashed. According to legislation, the municipal manager is the spokesperson and not the mayor who is a political figure. The community did not vote the Mayor into office.

This letter has been answered in my previous response. The confidence of the council in the municipal manager has not diminished and he

will still be the person who finalises all responses to the media and refers to political component for additions if necessary.
