Editor – Please give me some space in your newspaper to speak out against a disgusting incident that took place outside the Civic Hall at the end of an Islamic awards ceremony.
The function was good and our children were a good example of how to behave as Muslims. But that lesson was not learnt by some women who were there.
A fight broke out between some Muslim women who were arguing about a man. This is the time for 16 days of non-violence against women. Now what about fisticuffs against an old woman by a loose woman?
What took place was totally disgusting and uncalled for, even if it was about a man who had ditched someone for someone better.
Many women tried to separate those who were rolling about in full view of the children, but the fighting went on for all to see. What a disgrace!
One woman phoned a friend as a back-up. This friend is a big shot in the municipality. The woman needs to learn manners. She is a disgrace to her religion.
Islam means Peace, and there was no peace on Sunday afternoon.
