A: We will look into it in the preparation of the new budget. However, you can’t call putting in electricity, providing water pipes for clean water and completing the planing for a housing project, zero delivery.

Q: Mayor, in light of the tragic accident and passing of Burry Stander and many other cyclists across SA. What is Newcastle doing to make the roads, in and around town, safer for it’s cycling and road running community?

A: That is a good suggestion. We must look into that for the new financial year and look at costs.

Q: Mayor, I’ve been to the home affairs recently, service is terrible. I spent half of the day there and was still not attended to. They seem to have attitude. Please do something because service is very poor.

A: Home Affairs doesn’t fall under my jurisdiction but I will address it with the head of home affairs Newcastle, who is a person passionate about making her department work.
