Community ask the Mayor about giving the Newcastle Golf Club a boost

Q: Mayor, I’ve been to the home affairs recently, service is terrible. I spent half of the day there and was still not attended to. They seem to have attitude. Please do something because service is very poor.

A: Home Affairs doesn’t fall under my jurisdiction but I will address it with the head of home affairs Newcastle, who is a person passionate about making her department work.

Q: Mr Mayor you comment on the upgrading of the parks that you thrive on making this a world class city. I think you should give the Newcastle golf club a boost as they are dated back to 1906. This course brings people from all over the country. Why not help make it a memorable visit for the locals and the visitors? It could only boost our city.

A: I have been in talks with the committee. We are currently negotiating with our insures to replace the roof at the clubhouse. There are some small interventions in other areas. I host there first (for my term) ever mayoral golf day there on March 16. Watch press for details. It will benefit the club as well as a charity.
