What is being done about our roads?

Q: Mayor, I would like to know why there, is always no water here at Osizweni, Makhanya Street during the festive season? 

A: Please check with your ward Cllr. I will also investigate with Uthukela Water.

Q: Mayor the new centre islands are beautiful however, those rocks are a hazard to motorists. Someone will use them for smash and grabs, or left on the road to damages tires and the like. Surely smaller stones can be used instead for increased safety. 

A: I agree, I had the same concern, I suggested to the dept that they use some kind of rin to fix or glue the stones.

Q: Mayor how is it that roads in Lennoxton and Paradise in a satisfactory condition are being resurfaced yet St Brun Str which is in a deplorable state remains unseen and untouched by your relevent departments?

A: I agree and I will see to it that it is placed in the 2013/14 budget that starts in July.

Q: Mayor, with regards to the meetings held with Chinese delegations concerning scholarships for NN students studying in China universities published 2012-11-16 in the Sun. Any progress?

A: It was an issue that we raised with the Chinese delegation and they have taken it back to their government, I will write to them to remind them.
