Editor – Regarding your letter by IFP Comrade in last week’s Gazette, I would also like to give my input in this regard.
The so-called ward committee member who was made mention of isn’t a true representative of the people. There was no fairness with regard to her nomination and election. The meeting whereby the so-called ward committee member was elected occurred on a working day during working hours.
We find it strange that, from the selective choice of houses repaired within our area, the houses chosen were of family members and relatives. This so-called ward committee member carries out the affairs of the community and the municipality in a biased and very unprofessional manner. The residents of Ward 25 would like both the municipality and councillor to take action against said ward member and remove her with immediate effect. Please, Councillor Bongane and municipal manager, take the plight of Ward 25 very seriously or voting for the ANC will no longer take place and the community of Ward 25 will no longer entertain any meetings to be held within the area due to lack of confidence.
