Election debate held in Mondlo

SNAKHO KINAKHO organised an election debate at Mondlo on February 16, at which political parties were given the opportunity to communicate their messages to the communities of Mondlo and the surrounding areas. Parties that took part included the ACDP (represented by Mr Sibusiso Mdlalose), the DA (represented by Mr Sibusiso Nkosi), the IFP (represented by Mr Jerry Sibiya), and the Owethu Residents Organisation (represented by Mr MM Mavuso). Absent were the ANC, the EFF, and the NFP. The event was organised to bring the parties closer to their constituents, and to allow the communities to ask questions as to what the parties proposed to do for them. The Snakho Kinakho wishes to thank the political parties that took part in this initiative, and the members of the Mondlo communities for the support and the behaviour displayed. We are immensely grateful that community members of Mondlo understand that democratic politics is not about physical fighting, but about the exchange of ideas and fairness.
