Let’s get things right again

THANK you for the article about the trees in President Street. It is amazing what lengths people will go to, to get their own way, no matter what destruction they cause. This one of the big problems we face today in every walk of life. It is all about what I can get out of it. All that is important, is what matters to me, and no matter whom I hurt or what laws I break to get it or what destruction I cause in the process, as long as I get what I want , it is OK . So I don’t have to stop at a robot, I can park on a yellow line, dump rubbish anywhere, come late for work, vandalize other people’s property and so the list can go on. Those folk who read this letter will realize by now that I am very upset about the tree issue and the other things going on in our town, and all I ask is that we the residents of Vryheid take stock of ourselves and start putting things right again.
