Firstly Newcastle is NOT a city and secondly after reading last week’s Advertiser which was full of disgusting reports of the degradation of our town I am not sure all the residents will not agree.

35 Years ago the bylaws were adhered to and implemented where it seems that today anything goes from filth in our town and NO accountability to control is rife.

Of course in the last 35 years the town has grown but this should not be an excuse for allowing the deterioration of our standards and the non implementation of bylaws.

I wish to thank the Newcastle Advertiser for always keeping the public informed of happenings in our town.
