Mayor is a man of integrity

Madam – I was interested to read the letter having a go at the mayor about his roadshows, and Mr Rehman’s remark that he “always gets blamed for everything, but is not allowed to take credit for anything”.

I am sure that this is quite true, but I am equally sure that every person in public office gets the same treatment and it must be accepted as coming with the job.

As long as Mr Rehman is sure that he is a man of integrity and that is he doing the very best for our town that he can, then he need not be over-worried about critical comments. At the end of the day we will all stand before the same judge, God, and will give account to Him.

While we all still need to be accountable and responsible to those we serve in the way we handle our jobs, Mr Rehman can get a measure of peace from his clear conscience.
