Sir,
How sad – our little town’s ‘leaders’ (I use the term loosely) involved in a squabble over who is going to get a job.
The one protagonist is well-known as having had a job previously at the municipality – a job that was handed out as some type of political patronage – where little was apparently achieved.
While some work has been done by the new regime to clean out the bad eggs from our municipality, a few rotten ones evidently remain.
If you have to cut through all the political-speak you can describe this whole squabble as ‘greed’.
And I am not talking only about this job. Greed motivates our so-called leaders: going to meetings, handing out tenders, manipulating decisions to benefit a few. The genuine Marxists must be rolling their graves. The National Party stole, but boy, these guys are experts! Brian the Brain
