Madam – It’s a time of great change in Newcastle!

Thanks to collaborative efforts, we are finally seeing something positive being done about areas with illegal communal housing and a park notorious for it’s prostitution. It remains to be seen what other steps will be taken, but it is heartening to note that the first few tentative steps towards progress have actually happened.

The Mayor needs to be applauded for taking a stance about these sensitive issues. He has shown that he is committed to making Newcastle a better place for families and businesses. It must not be easy to sit in his seat every week and expect nothing but criticism for trying his best. I’m sure many will agree.
