Roads are a nightmare

I cringe every time I have to drive through one of the makeshift taxi ranks in the town centre. It is a real nightmare of congestion, carelessness and recklessness. I can only imagine how the businesses that operate in these streets feel. More often than not taxis, pedestrians or vendors obstruct their driveways and shop entrances.
If it is not the highly-irritating arrogant taxi drivers who are cutting in front of you, stopping suddenly or whizzing through red robots, then it is the pedestrians and guys who push trolleys along the road that feel no fear of stepping onto the road without checking for oncoming vehicles.
I am sure that many people have experienced the absolute lack of traffic control at these temporary taxi ranks but what will be done about it?
NOTHING! Our traffic officers are too busy driving in their air-conditioned cars, stopping law-abiding citizens and ordering take-aways to police our roads. It’s a shame!
