Grateful for efficient service

Many litres of fresh, clean water was washed into the gutter and down the storm water drain, it was a sorry sight

Often we hear about the poor service that Uthukela District Municipality provides but this time I would like to say thank you to them. On Saturday, February 14 I noticed that the tap situated outside the taxi rank in Alfred Street was pouring water.
Many litres of fresh, clean water was washed into the gutter and down the storm water drain, it was a sorry sight. I called Uthukela customer services and made a complaint. After a few minutes I was called back and told that there were no plumbers available as it was during the weekend and that I would have to report the matter on Monday again. I was dismayed; thinking about how much of water is going to be wasted but nevertheless gave the lady my resolution to call on Monday. To my pleasant surprise when I passed by on Sunday, the tap was not leaking. I was very grateful and would like to say thank you to the staff that repaired it.
