Taking a selfie could get you jailed
In a country with an estimated 2.8m prostitutes, taking a selfie of your 'underboobs' could see you jailed for 5 years

A trend spreading fast across social media platforms, hopefully not yet in Ladysmith, is the so-called ‘underboob selfie’ which has become all the rage. However, it may see you jailed in Thailand, of all places.
Thailand’s military government warned women on Monday against posting photos of the lower half of their breasts, stressing that these actions violate the country’s computer crime laws.
Thailand’s Computer Crimes Act 2007 bans material that causes “damage to the country’s security or causes public panic” or “any obscene computer data which is accessible to the public”.
A culture ministry spokesperson said offenders faced up to five years in jail, but did not say how they would identify the culprits.
As the trend is to take the picture without showing your face, identifying the culprits could be a very touchy subject…
But thanks to Thailand’s government, #underboob was not only trending on Twitter, it had become synonymous with Thailand…
For those of us who did not know what an underboob selfie was, thanks to Thailand’s military government, now everyone knows.
So if you happen to book a holiday to Thailand, home of sleazy and steamy Bangkok (famed worldwide for its night life), remember to delete any unwanted photos from your cell-phone…
Fun fact – Thailand is a country with an estimated 2.8 million prostitutes.
