Thanks to the Good Samaritans who saved me

Thank you all for keeping me alive and safe

Editor – On Tuesday, April 7, at approximately 12 noon, I stopped at the T-junction in  Settlers Drive. I was approached by a young black male who, at the time, was handing out brochures.

Suddenly, he attempted to hijack me by trying to remove my car keys and pointing a “gun”at me.

Fortunately, within minutes, public assistance came to my rescue and grabbed the guy in question.

Thievery is an ongoing violation of people’s rights in our country, but with humble passersby and civilians like the ones I encountered, we have a fighting chance in overcoming this saga.

A much appreciated “Thank You” goes out to the following personnel on behalf of my family and I: Richard (from Anderson Delta); Mahendra Shamapersadh and Nosheer Basdewo; the two unknown cash-in-transit security guards who helped in apprehending  the criminal; and my sister and her boyfriend for being by my side throughout the ordeal.

Thank you all for keeping me alive and safe.
