Madam – We should pray.
If there ever was a time that we as humans in this world, as citizens of this land of South Africa should seek divine intervention, then it is now! We need to pray!
We must pray against the evil that inspires people to cold bloodedly murder and maim our farmers and others! Pray against these two evil monsters – drugs and alcohol that so overpower our youth, making them glassy-eyed monsters beyond natural affection, trouble seekers and merciless killers and rapists.
We need to ask God to help us to withstand that part of our human race that succumbs to the temptations of the evil forces that exist in this world that are bent on killing, stealing and destroying! Pray for our beautiful little children who are so cruelly robbed of all their innocence by the lustful, selfish, fiendish sexual desires of demon possessed individuals who prey on them!
For our families to remain steadfast and sure in allowing that which is pure, virtuous and conducive to right living into our homes. We must pray for our homes to be peaceful sanctuaries of refuge from a trying and hostile world that shows little or no mercy for the feelings of the weak and innocent! We should pray that people who kill and hate and rape in the name of religion, should have tolerance and respect for fellow humans regardless of their religious affiliation and beliefs, for we are all created in the image of God, by God, for God, and if He did not want certain individuals to be born on this earth, He would’ve stopped their very conception! God alone gives life, and God alone
should be allowed to take it!
We must pray for our law enforcement officers to be vigilant and diligent in the execution of their duties, knowing that people’s lives are dependent on them! We must pray that corrupt politicians be replaced by God fearing country loving individuals who put the welfare of all the people of the land first!
We must pray for God to remove bias and” bribery taking” judges from our courts! To be replaced with judges that will be quick to sentence all criminals, with maximum punishment as the law allows! We must pray against all this unruly driving in our streets, our roads have become places of carnage where reckless and rude drivers express no conscience or concern for the rules of the road!
It’s become a “free for all” drive as you please, disobey all road signs and signals at the peril of other decent and law abiding drivers! We must pray against the spirit of apathy that has taken over our traffic department!
Finally, we should pray that the hearts of the wealthy and the financially secure be opened to the less fortunate in our neighbourhoods, in our communities and in our country! Hoard up riches for yourself mister; your selfish proud ways will catch up with you some day! And the irony of it all is that we came naked into this world, and it is certain that we will depart the same way too! Let us give special heed to the conditions as set out in 2 Chronicles 7: 14.Our only hope is God. Let us pray!
