Editor – It’s sad but true, but Ladysmith is limited when it comes to entertainment. Be it weekends or school holidays, there’s just nothing to do!
However, when organisations host events, certain community members are quick to criticise, not realising the amount of time, money and hard work individuals put in to make a difference in our town.
On Saturday, Kustom Carz hosted a family spin day – our first event – and we are thankful and grateful that it was a success even though the weather decided to act up.
It seems to be the norm that when one decides to host an event in town, one is promised rain! Despite the chilly breeze and rain, the event went on!
Kustom Carz would like to thank all sponsors, spectators, spinners and those who assisted in making the show possible. If it wasn’t for the sponsors and community supporting the family spin day, it would not have been a success.
Once again, one needs to remember that events are hosted by organisations as a gesture of goodwill and an attempt to introduce much-needed entertainment in town.
