Africa, beware of the US

Let me also remind you all South Africans that it is that very same America that only removed Nelson Mandela's name on its terrorist list few years before his death

It is time for the rest of Africa to repeat what was once said by Nelson Mandela to America that: “America, now stop playing the role of being the world’s policeman.”

This thought of Mandela’s caution of the United Sates (US) is triggered by what the American’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is currently doing to FIFA.

I am not in the position to stick neck out for FIFA per se`, because I too, has always been suspicious of Joseph Blatter rotating the FIFA World Cup, which I personally supported.

But, the US’ timing coming up with all these allegations of FIFA’s corruption are questionable. To be frank, America was never a friend of Africa.

And, any achievement by Africa, no matter how good it may be, will always be questionable to the “Big Brother America.” The point here is that FIFA is corrupt to the core, this is something that didn’t start now that the World Cup is being awarded to Africa (South Africa).

Patriotic South Africans should also comprehend that after South Africa, the World Cup went to Brazil, then it will go to Russia and later Qatar. My point of argument here is that South Africa, Brazil and Russia are members of BRICS. The US doesn’t have control powers over BRICS members.

Although, Russia is from Europe, it doesn’t take any hogwash from these Western Europen ‘self- proclaimed super powers’ like Britain and the US. Africa should understand that it’s the very same America that defied former UN Secretary – General, Kofi Annan who is black and defiantly attacked Iraq on the pretext that it harbours nuclear weapons, which were never found.

This is also the very same America that destabilised Lybia and brutally assassinated its president Maumar Gaddaffi in the name of ‘liberating Lybian people’. The bitter truth is that America was never interested in liberating Iraqi and Lybian people, but it was only interested in these country’s oil resources.

If my perception of the US double standards is wrong then, I stand to be corrected on the reason why it did nothing to stop a genocide war in Rwanda in 1994 where 500 000 people were killed in just six months.

Rwanda has in fact, no oil or mineral resources to benefit the mighty US. Let me also remind you all South Africans that it is that very same America that only removed Nelson Mandela’s name on its terrorist list few years before his death. Hence, to all patriotic South Africans, wake up and smell the coffee.
