Sir
Please allow me to send some ideas to the Committee that organised the Dundee July. I can see the event is attracting thousands of people around the country flocking to Dundee. In the next event in 2016 I will like to see the following being squeezed in:
1. Let there be a running race of 10, or 21km starting from 6am, or a fun walk.
2. All the cars going through to the event must be parked at least 500m to 1km away, so as prevent congestion as well as endangering the security plan.
Cart-wagons can be used as a means of transport or minibus taxi. This will cut the congestion by at least 40%.
3. I want to see local B&B’s having a database of residents who are willing to lease their property in Dundee as accommodation was scarce during the event.
4. Livestock Auction and meat products. I want to see the stock market on the show as there are lot of emerging black farmers who may be willing to buy cows and quality bulls.
5. Let the event be family fun. Let’s organise playful things for the children. I was also so disappointed there was no photographers. If this event attracts thousands of celebrities, surely one or two people will like to pose for a photo with such celebs? Lastly, please wake up Dundee. If we fail to make use of this event, people from outside will come and exploit it, and mind you in the region this event is competing against J&B or Durban July.
