Charlestown community needs answers
This week RDP housing and CCTV cameras are under the spotlight.
Dear Mr Mayor – As Charlestown community we are still waiting for our RDP house as you promise that they will start on JULY 2015 but we dont see anything and the is only 2 days left in JULY 2015, WHEN WILL THE COMMUNITY GET THOSE RDP?
I have never given a date, the housing project has been approved by province and we are beginning with the issues of finalising beneficiaries and other processes.
Hi, I would like to thank Anc led Newcastle Municipality and your dedication at your work as you are serving the people of Newcastle with merit. Q:There are big project mentioned on the Newcastle Advertiser that our local companies e.g. SACC,LANXESS and KARBOCHEM are planning to have jointly with our Municipality and are there any plans to capacitate our Youth in order for them to benefit on this projects.e.g. Artisans ?????
We have been in discussions with many of these industries, but we are also working on a plan to empower youth through our own projects.
Dear Sir I know it may not be the problem of the municipality to do anything about the people that are selling fake DVDs and other goods by malls, but surely CCTV cameras would help the police eliminate these criminals? When are you guys going to actually work with the police to reduce crime?
The CCTV room is available to the SAPS 24 hrs a day. We always have a strong relationship with the SAPS to fight crime.
