Sir
Whatever happened to Radley Keys whose absence is distinctly felt within the local communities. As a political leader he was always at the forefront of matters that affected our interests.
He listened to our problems at public meetings and through interactions and numerous media submissions he defended our rights with success and exposed the unjustified workings of some in positions of authority.
Radley had acted upon and expressed his view on matters such as housing, education, transport, tariff of charges, especially illegal aspects of water debts etc.
For all his performances, Radley earned tremendous respect and admiration he so richly deserved from members of all our communities.
It is unfortunate that he had to leave this region so suddenly. We wish him well.
It is understood that Murgen Chetty has replaced Radley in this region. It is of concern that, after a year, Mr Chetty is not known to our communities in this region, while local government elections are just months away.
We look forward to his presence in our midst.
