Hospital services lack professionalism

Estcourt Provincial Hospital has failed to fulfil its mandate by providing adequate health care to the community

My mother is a diabetic patient and receives her medication from the Estcourt Provincial Hospital every month. But recently, due to the corruption and inadequacy that occurs within the hospital, many times, her medication is allegedly “missing” or unavailable and as a result she doesn’t get her insulin and blood pressure tablets.

Because of the inadequacy and lack of professionalism, my mother falls ill due to a lack of medication. Estcourt Provincial Hospital has failed to fulfil its mandate by providing adequate health care to the community as the medication that is meant to help and support the people, are stolen by those employed at the hospital.

I’d like to request for a serious change to be made as this has been happening too often for it to be ignored.

Patients and clients should understand that Estcourt Hospital has an open door policy and if the expected standard of service is not received, a complaints procedure is in place.
I will request this patient to come to the hospital and ask for Miss Zandile Mngomezulu, the Public Relations Officer for assistance or alternatively contact her on 0363427089 for his/her complaint to be attended to.
