The real, right, royal treatment

There has been a concept in many people’s minds that this town is dying and there are just no places to go

Editor – Allow me space in your newspaper to send out a letter of appreciation and gratitude.

This is an unusual letter, as it is not common to give compliments of this nature.

It was my partner’s birthday and I had made reservations for an evening at the Royal Hotel. Boy, was I amazed and surprised as to what the management and staff had put together.

A special thank you to Mr and Mrs Lee, as well as the staff of Royal Hotel Ladysmith, for their hospitality and gratitude in producing a wonderful night for my partner and I on August 27.

Not forgetting Mr Cedric (Royal Hotel) for going out of his way to make my partner’s night a night to remember. It is sad, as residents of Ladysmith generally treat their loved ones to fine restaurants out of town, as there has been a concept in many people’s minds that this town is dying and there are just no places to go.

Well, not anymore! After receiving such great hospitality, one doesn’t need to go out of town!
