Minor collisions seem to be all the rage these days

I ask you Newcastle, what the heck is going on?? Where has the simple courtesy of thinking about other people gone to?

Madam – Minor collisions seem to be all the rage these days on Newcastle roads.

Why is this, you may ask? Simple. It’s because people drive like they bought their licenses from a grocery store!

A few weeks ago some writers send letters to the editor about the state of driving in this town and listed some things they have noticed. To add to that, I don’t know whether people are getting more ignorant or they just don’t care about other lives on the road.

What I find most shocking is that the problem does not only exist with taxis but also with people who are well known in this town.

For instance, the so-called principal of a local school feels nothing about u-turning illegally in the middle of a busy street in the mornings to get into a parking space. This person then had the audacity to ignore the fact that their vehicle almost collided with mine. They did not even acknowledge there was a problem, despite me hooting at them.

I am shocked and disgusted!

Similarly another idiot had the gall to hoot and swear at me when I stopped… at a stop sign! I ask you Newcastle, what the heck is going on?? Where has the simple courtesy of thinking about other people gone to?

Why are you so content to endanger the lives of fellow human beings?
