Make sure you are properly registered to vote, warns IFP
We, as the IFP, therefore plea to voters in all wards, whether you are a previous registered voter, or a new resident, to please check with the IEC office in Dundee, or with the next registration weekend, whether your address appears on the voters roll.

Sir
This serves as a humble plea from the IFP political party, Ward 7, to all voters.
Over the past voters’ registration weekend of March 5-6, it has come to our attention that many voters did not come to the voting station to check whether they are still on the voters roll so as to allow them to vote in the local government elections of 2016. If one has been a resident living at the same address for many years and voting for local and national elections for all these years we presume that we are registered and will be able to vote in the upcoming 2016 local election.
Dear voters of Ward 7 and probably also all the other wards, this is not the case this year. Many voters only found out during this weekend that all of a sudden their addresses have disappeared from the voters roll, with the result that they will not be able to vote at election time. We, as the IFP, therefore plea to voters in all wards, whether you are a previous registered voter, or a new resident, to please check with the IEC office in Dundee, or with the next registration weekend, whether your address appears on the voters roll. Here is some advice regarding your area and voting station and where you should vote if you are residing in Ward 7.
– If you live on the prison side of the railway line, you will then register at the Glenridge Hall, Glencoe.
– If you live on the Municipal Office side of Glencoe, you must register at the Glencoe Town Hall.
– If you reside at Tulaphi you will register at the clinic at Tulaphi.
We, as the IFP, sincerely thank you and apologise for any inconvenience caused and request that you inform your family and friends as well.
Thanking you.
Callie Carelse
IFP Ward 7
