Increasing disrespect evident on the roads

Parking in no-parking areas or double parking is also a problem and quickly causes congestion

Does anyone have respect for the rules of the road these days? I have noticed that more and more traffic offences are being committed on the roads every day and this is just an observation I made when driving around town.
It is as if people have increasing disrespect for each other on the roads. Here are some of the items I have picked up almost on a daily basis:

1. Drivers speeding through red robots.
2. Pedestrians preferring to walk on the road, instead of on the pavements. This is also visible in residential areas. The pedestrians then display a hostile attitude to drivers who are passing.
3. Drivers not using indicators when they are intending to stop. This can cause an accident especially if a driver suddenly stops in front of you without warning or any indication beforehand.
4. Drivers transporting school children are very reckless. They are carrying precious cargo and thus should be extra careful. They must keep a moderate speed and also try not to to overload their vehicles. Think about how uncomfortable it must be for the children, especially during these hot days.
5. Parking in no-parking areas or double parking is also a problem and quickly causes congestion, especially in streets like Phillip, Alexandra, Alfred and Albert.

I know there are many more road offences being committed and I hope that instead of staking out the take-away places, our traffic officers would be more visible on the road. These are just my thoughts.
