Pastor ponders on what the way forward is

In a democratic country that is 20-years-old, racism is still on the rampage

Gatekeepers did a lot of damage to some political parties. Free and fair has been the practice in our communities. In a democratic country that is 20-years-old, racism is still on the rampage.

Ask the question: did the government address this serious concern called racism? Were there programs put in place? Did the government meet with the church to deal with this monster? Racism is a spirit and needs to be addressed in a spiritual form. The former President who stood the test of time, when he came out of jail, embraced his oppressor and he was not false.

He was serious about what he did. I quote Nelson Mandela: ‘If the ANC do to you what the apartheid government did, then you do to the ANC what you did to the apartheid government.’ This was well-said by the former President when people don’t want to forget the past and they hold a lot of hatred. They make laws that divide us.

Their main objective is to separate rather than unite. All races in this country should be part of NDP. All political parties should open up to all races. Where is our rainbow nation? We are sowing seeds of a civil war.

We are destroying this country. The church also still carries a lot of racism. So what is the way forward? Let us unite our country. White apartheid was experienced before but what about black apartheid? No one wants to talk about it. Black apartheid is painful and we need to address this.

Yes, all races in South Africa still hold onto apartheid, this must go. Did this government condemn and transform and have real programs rather than thinking it will just go away? No, this needs to be worked out. You can’t fix a wrong with another wrong.
