Independent candidate ‘fully geared’ for election

I refer to your Courier dated July 15 which publicised he ceremonial event involving representatives of political parties having to sign the pledge.
As stated I was absent from this event. This was due to my being involved in other prior arrangements and also the fact that the timing coincided with my Friday prayer session. I was excused in this instance.
However, the necessary procedures of signing pledge, etc. have all been accomplished to the satisfaction of the Independent Electoral Commission.
I will be contesting the elections as a Candidate in Ward Six.
