I reside in Mimosa Crescent, and leading up to the Local Government Elections it’s become a common sight to see political party members or supporters put up their posters.
As well as candidates up for election paying us sudden visits, urging us to vote in their favour…
With that said, with these visits to our area, are they purposely turning a blind eye to the dump sites and the heaps of rubble near patches of the road that were dug up and not repaired, potholes and burst water pipes.
Now is the time they should be dealing with such issues.I would just like to encourage you all to take note of such, and when it’s time to vote; to elect someone who is prepared to take care of our town and someone who is observant to mention a few.
We have about two bust water pipes; even with reporting it the problem is not solved. Water disruptions are occurring so often, we never enjoy immediate response. The relevant people take way too long to attend to the matter; they should have a standby group.
I am fed-up of this, we need water to cook and bath, we have medication that needs to be taken as well.Water is such a scarce commodity and to see litres of clean water go to waste is very sad to say the least. We as residents of Estcourt pay taxes and rent but we question ourselves so often, where does it all go to? Kindly take this into account before wasting your time going to vote.
