‘Unacceptable response from municipality regarding all night party’

In regards to the acting municipal manager’s response to our letter complaining about the all-night party and drunken revelry in and around the Kallies Stadium on June 25: Mr Silinga wrote that : ‘Endumeni Municipality has a Section 4 committee which authorises events of this magnitude and this committee also includes colleagues from the South African Police Services. The processes of hosting such an event were followed and thereafter approved by the committee.’
We refer to the above response: Maybe it’s time to review the “Section 4 committee” which authorises events of this nature to take place during ungodly hours. We can be tolerant of these kinds of events if they take place within decent, considerate hours – like the mentioned funfair, which ceased all activity at 11.15pm and which is probably why no complaints were brought forward! Again, 6am is unacceptable. Your consideration in this regard will be highly appreciated!
