Taxi operators allegedly violent and intimidating to motorists

Their sole purpose is to stop the hitch-hikers and also harass and violently intimidate kind motorists who stop for hitch-hikers. Read more

Madam – I would like to raise an issue that always raises its ugly heard at this time of year regarding taxi operators.

As many motorists have seen throughout the year, hitch-hikers are on our roads going as far as Gauteng and Durban. Of late, the taxi operators have been stationed at the hiking spot.

Their sole purpose is to stop the hitch-hikers and also harass and violently intimidate kind motorists who stop for hitch-hikers.

The question is which law or by law gives our feared taxi operators the right to harass people on our roads. or it is the law of the gun?

Why is law enforcement and protection services doing nothing about this matter? Is it because they fear the taxi mafia or they are themselves taxi owners, which is against the law.

Concerned and Scared
