Sir
Regarding the #FeesMustFall campaign, just a few thoughts:
No country in the world can afford free education to all students at universities, colleges and technikons.
I have done a quick survey between all races in Dundee and the following was found:
1) That every working person in South Africa should contribute R10 per month or R120 per year towards the above (you can do the calculations).
2) The trustees of the funds should not be central government but deans of the institutions.
3) A High Court Judge should be appointed as ombudsman.
4) Central Government should continue to subsidise educational institutions.
5) All current demonstrating students should be sent home and be allowed to re-apply for studies for 2017.
6) Why do we wait for criminals to burn down 29 schools and varsity property before we take action? (Arson is a criminal offence.)
Best of luck for the next 20 years.
