The Class of 2016 faces one of their most memorable moments yet…their Senior Certificate Examinations, which commence on Monday, October 24.

As the Mayor of Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality and as a teacher by profession, I would like to convey sincere best wishes to the grade 12s of 2016. They are embarking on a route, which would ultimately determine their future. How they perform in these examinations sets the course for their future.

I would like to encourage the grade 12s to prepare thoroughly for the examinations, focus on their goals and keep their dreams in sight.
Allocate adequate time for studying, whether it be alone or with study groups, to ensure that you are well-prepared for the day’s exam.
Keep away from over-indulging in social media and time with friends but also make sure you have plenty of rest and exercise to keep your mind sharp.
