‘Criticism of local business not fair’

'People should get all the facts correct before launching on social media. It is a dangerous practice.'

Sir
Over the past week, I read on the Courier’s Facebook page of what I feel is totally (excuse the pun) unfounded criticism of Total Glencoe.
The accusations went viral, as they say, which is sad because the owner, Brent, did not have the right to reply because of the nature of social media.
To say that the owner is rude and refused to serve this particular lady is only one side of the story. Intrigued by the fuss, I went to Glencoe and inquired. I have an interest in that garage as every time I am in Glencoe, perhaps once a month or so, I normally pop round to fill up.
The staff is swift and attentive.
So when I went round, I asked to see the camera footage. Strangely, the particular person who complained, raced onto the forecourt which is unusual if you have a flat tyre.
I would like to add my five cents to say the service at Total Glencoe is fine. People should get all the facts correct before launching on social media. It is a dangerous practice.
