Editor – Re: Taxi warlords, uThukela and SAPS.
Please allow me space in your newspaper to voice my concerns. I refer to an online article that was published on the Ladysmith Gazette web site that spoke of taxi warlords shutting off the water supply.
How is it possible that so-called taxi warlords can intimidate uThukela workers, while the SAPS and the Special Task Forces sit by and do nothing about this stupid situation?
Are we, the innocent community of Ladysmith, now governed by taxi bosses? Is the mayor, the South African police, uThukela mayor and the Special Task Force afraid of these criminals?
Why must charges be laid before the police can do anything? This is unacceptable and intolerable.
