Please be considerate when setting off fireworks

Do you ever think that with your choice of fireworks, when buying them, certain responsibilities go with them

I would like to say something to the members of the community who celebrate, for whatever reason, with fireworks.

Do you ever think that with your choice of fireworks, when buying them, certain responsibilities go with them, not only to your fellow men, who may not appreciate them, but also to the animals and birds that live around you as well?

One asks for the short duration of enjoyment that you get when they go off, is it really worth the stress and anguish they cause to those living around you, for whom you seem to have little or no concern?

I suggest you make yourselves familiar with our local by-laws pertaining to fireworks.

There are certain institutions where you may not set off fireworks within a distance of 1 000 meters, as well as some businesses where the distance is 500 meters.  Contravening these by-laws is an offence.
