Editor – May I please, in your prestigious newspaper, air my view on crime and the South African police in Ladysmith.
Sir, with the crime escalating through the roof in this once vibrant town of ours, why aren’t the police on patrol and on the beat?
It is that time of the year again when almost everyone will be looking forward to spending their hard-earned cash and savings, only to be mugged by petty criminals.
I am 100% sure that these petty crimes can come to an end, provided that the community of Ladysmith has visible policing in the area – namely on the streets, in shopping centres, at taxi ranks and in residential areas.
