Editor – A few weeks ago, my father fell down the stairs due to a stroke after he had used the toilet. He broke two ribs in the fall.
While most ambulance services could either not find the house or did not respond, we have to thank Nahshon and his team from Sharaj Ambulance Services for getting to our home and helping so quickly.
Keep up the great work; this town needs people like you.
Aside from the initial help provided, we needed a commode for my father to use, as we did not want him to walk up and down the stairs with broken ribs.
After searching all through town and not being successful, we contacted the Ladysmith Gazette to see if they could assist.
They, in turn, contacted the Al-Imdaad Foundation for help.
Before we knew it, Al-Imdaad, together with the Ladysmith Gazette, were knocking on our door with the commode.
The commode has really helped my father, as he does not have to over-work himself to get to the toilet.
Thank you so much to everyone who helped us get through this ordeal and for making the road forward much easier.
