Estcourt is becoming an embarrassment

How can we get the municipality to sit up and take notice of the degradation that our town is going through?

What is happening to the service delivery in our town? It is almost non-existent.

Everywhere one goes to in Estcourt; there is filth, destruction and damage. Our town is a shadow of its former self. It makes me wonder what our councillors are doing for their communities.

Before the Local Government Elections, no doubt they made big promises about service delivery but I would like to ask the residents, has this materialised?

It seems our town is getting worse by the day. Besides the usual complaints about terrible roads, water cuts, long grass on the sidewalks and decaying infrastructure, we are also facing a don’t care attitude from our councillors.

Councillors should be living amongst the community so that they too experience first-hand the challenges that each community faces, but how many councillors are actually living in their wards?

How can we get the municipality to sit up and take notice of the degradation that our town is going through? Estcourt is becoming an embarrassment, how can we be proud to call this our home?
