Editor – The Young Hindu Cultural Service Society (YHCSS) places on record sincere thanks to Mayor Vincent Madlala and Alfred Duma Local Municipality, our community and all donors for their contributions and assistance.
The Deepavali / Diwali “Festival of Lights” 2017 celebration was indeed a huge success once again.
The morning “Hawan” prayer started the function activities. The afternoon function started with items from sister organisations, followed by a tasty supper.
Then it was the turn of Dharam Maharaj with some golden oldies. Our talented Prakash Orchestra saw the function to its end, with our community enjoying themselves and dancing away to pleasant music.
The controlled, spectacular fireworks display lit up the skies of our town.
Stall holders had a variety of food, ice creams, savouries and sweets for sale to the public.
On behalf of the YHCSS, may the essence of Deepavali / Diwali reign in each household all through the year.
