Madam – I am utterly disappointed in how many people don’t care for their pets.
Not a day goes past, where I don’t see some dog or cat roaming the streets, their owners nowhere in sight. Then there is social media, where a few concerned residents post images of lost dogs wandering the suburbs.
I don’t understand how people couldn’t be bothered on their animals’ whereabouts. I would go insane if my pet suddenly went missing without a trace.
Like little children, animals need to be cared for and checked up on a regular basis. Don’t just assume that your dog and cat will eventually come back if they get out of your yard. What if they get knocked over and killed by a car? What if another animal kills them? What if they get poisoned? The list is endless.
While some claim you can’t control your cats or dogs, I believe that you can. Through getting them sterilized, giving them enough food and attention, your animal won’t want to wander away.
As for those people who merely allow their animals to wander aimlessly in the streets, remember that you chose to have them in your family. It is your responsibility to care for them.
A dog is more than a security measure, they are family and friends. The same goes for cats. Look after your pets, keep them safely in your property and shower them with affection.
