Madam – I was fuming after reading the article in last week’s Newcastle Advertiser, regarding the poisoning of pets.
What vile person goes so far, as to kill an innocent animal?
I believe more stringent laws need to be put into place for those caught poisoning and killing an animal. If you are capable of killing a defenseless animal, you can kill a human.

There is also the fact that many view their animals as children, the emotional trauma these people must go through upon finding their animals dead. I cannot imagine all the heartache and pain, all through one person’s evil.
Let’s unite together and raise awareness on treating animals properly.
