Please fix all these spreading potholes in the Egerton area

Surely something should be done about this unsightly state of affairs

Editor – Re: Potholes at the end of Rawlinson Street.

Letters have appeared in the past regarding the shoddy condition of the above-mentioned road. Well, here’s another one. Where the potholes were previously, as you turn up from Ava Lane, the road surface has been repaired and is not so bad.

However, turn right and continue to the end of the street, where Rawlinson joins with Roystone Road and then Cochrane Road.

A prominent B&B stands on the corner, not to mention a school that shares its premises with a church, as well as the entrance to Harvest High School and Hauser Park Recreational Club.

The state of the road as you exit into Cochrane Road is absolutely appalling. Huge potholes are now running into each other and becoming one as the road surface slowly crumbles away. Palm tree fronds are often just dumped in this area as if it’s not even part of the road anymore, but a place to throw rubbish.

Surely something should be done about this unsightly state of affairs, not to mention damaging to vehicles!
