A few years ago the post office put up a lovely fence around the building.
I know this was frustrating to some people but it was so nice to walk to your post office box without having to be careful of stepping in somebodies leftover ‘toilet’ or mess from supper, not to even mention the many times that it was used as a public toilet.

Now unfortunately some of the fencing has been broken out and it is once again a free for all. It is disgusting to try and get your post early in the morning.
Is it not possible that something can be done about the present state on the steps of the post office, PLEASE? Then while I am on fencing – what is the problem with the municipality?
They have spent a fortune on fencing around the building but look at the state of the streets. The potholes are getting worse and worse.

Coming up the road from the bottom of Good Street to the top of George Smith Street there are such big holes in the road that if a small car hits one of them they are going to really have a big problem – my husband says they are likely to have to get a new tyre and even possibly a new rim for the vehicle and with the price of tyres these days, it will cost a fortune.
I am not even talking about all the other potholes all over town. The state of the street just outside Max Cash and Carry and near the Anglican Church is a disgrace. But we all want to drive the fanciest cars.
Could the municipality not first have done something about the potholes in the street before they spent all that money on fencing and on new vehicles for the traffic department?

All and sundry are driving the biggest vehicles they could find on the market and in a small town like this – really people? I am sure the traffic officers have to write up at least a few tickets to justify the money spent on the vehicles.
I have an idea – I have sat in a parking spot watching the people who arrive for work – they park on the main street in the same spot all day.
It is no wonder that the people who are trying to get into the business area to do some shopping have to double park. Some of them are parked in the same spot each day of the working week.
Walk up and down Harding Street and I am sure you will get your quota of fines in just half an hour or so. But all they do is drive their cars up and down the street sounding the alarm and making more of a nuisance of themselves.
If they just got rid of the parked vehicles there would be no need for all that noise.
