Editor – I am a young person who has been living in Ladysmith for almost 10 years.
I am currently in my early 20s and I just have one very good question to ask…
What exactly is there to do on a weekend in Ladysmith, besides sit at a local pub and drink?
We have events here and there that get an awesome response, like the UV Run or Friday nights at local watering holes, but once Friday night comes and goes, there is literally nothing else to do.
Actually, a group should be made to let us know of upcoming events during the week so we can budget and spread the word. I think that would be ideal.
Even small events like a local band performing in town, or a braai evening where everyone can mingle and get to know each other would be ideal for such a small town.
And I’m pretty sure I am not the only one who feels this way.
It’s time for someone to try something new.
