Taking debate to the youth

Challenges faced by the Weenen community include teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, sugar daddies, HIV/Aids

Simunye Youth Development Project CEO Mr S Mtshali and Simunye Executive Dr Lamula together with a number of other stakeholders from the organisation arranged a debate on behaviour change.

We held the debate in Ward 20, 21 and 22. Weenen Combined School learners participated in the debate. Simunye CEO Mr S Mtshali spoke about the implementation plan of Simunye, according to the partnership that we have with the National Youth development Agency.

The CoGTA Department Ward 21 Convener Mrs N Ndebele thanked Simunye Youth Development Project for developing the Weenen youth, adding that the programmes were appreciated.

He works with different stakeholders in terms of developing youth in Weenen. Simunye has a challenge of installing electricity at a new site that they have been given by municipality.
