Remembering forgotten communities in Ezitendeni

The homes of some people have been damaged by storms, so they need the government to intervene

On October 24, I visited the community in Ezitendeni to see people who have been left behind in terms of service delivery. I, Councillor Musa Nkala, was accompanied by Mrs P Kok, Mr Mshengu, Nondumiso Mbanjwa and a Democratic Alliance team.

They are willing to help the community to accelerate service delivery. This community needs attention from municipality.

They asked me to visit them and talk to them. They raised issues like jobs, sanitation, electricity, road construction and street lights.

Some people are living in crucial situations. Families depend on the grants so they need the municipality to assist them by reducing electricity accounts.

The homes of some people have been damaged by storms, so they need the government to intervene.
