LETTER – Dannhauser’s “Six of the worst” – another bumpy ride

They SLOW down the traffic, they do not STOP the traffic flow

Sir
Dannhauser has now installed the most vicious, impractical, dangerous and (surely) illegal speed bumps through the centre of the town. They measure 75mm x 15mm and there are six of them over a distance of a kilometre. To drive over them one has to literally stop and “crawl” over them at 0kph.

Many vehicles have to be conscious of not damaging their low under-sections. They are a threat to any vehicle carrying a fragile cargo.

To whoever authorised the installation of these bumps, go and have a look at the speed reduced bumps in Dundee.

They SLOW down the traffic, they do not STOP the traffic flow.

One could be placed centrally, with another near the school and the third one at the hospital. Rather utilise the tar material by filling the numerous potholes in your town.

We urge you to remove them as soon as possible.
